Panasonic Programming Software

Panasonic offer two programming software packages, a basic ladder only package called "FPWIN GR" and an IEC61131-3 compliant software package that offers programming in Ladder, Structured Text, Instruction List, Function Block Diagram and Sequential Function Chart. This package is known as "FPWIN Pro".

In the links below, you will find the latest update files for both FPWIN GR and FPWIN Pro along with a Demonstration version of FPWIN Pro that allows the user to create quite sustantial programs up to 2700 steps in size. Please note, this is not a time limited program copy and even allows the user to update to the latest release version simply by using the same update files.

NEW SIMULATOR FEATURE!

Panasonic have now included a simulator feature in FPWIN Pro from version 6.30 or later. By default, this feature is disabled to ensure that the user understands and accepts, a few time based limitations that arise from running the program in a "virtual" environment that does not have a fixed time base. As such, any time critical applications may run a little differently than expected and sould be tested in a real world environment as part of commissioning the project. To enable the simulator takes two simple steps,

1. Ensure you are running V6.30 or later.

2. Download and run the simulator enable program in the list below.

To run the program in Simulator mode, open your project in FPWIN Pro, go to the "Online" menu, click "Communications Parameters" and choose "PLC Simulator" as your network type. Now all you need to do is download your program to the "Virtual" PLC.
